CORONATION BOOKS
A graduate of Dawson College’s Illustration & Design, Jenny has spent over twenty years in the 2D animation industry as Artistic Director and a Digital Painter on many animated television series (including Caillou, My Goldfish is Evil, ToonMarty and Chop chop Ninja)
The 2020 pandemic served as a catalyst of re-evaluation, prompting Jenny to return to her roots in illustration.
She launched The Coronation Project; which explores and showcases the inherent beauty and connection we have with non-human animals. The project is an ongoing dedication to their dignity and will be released as a first volume, fully illustrated hardcover book.
Coronation Books is the new publishing container for both The Coronation Project and TwoSide Stories. Both seek to open a channel in understanding the story of “the other”. The former, in reimagining true, tragic stories by way of illustrated “Coronation celebrations”, and the latter through the exploration of multiple perspectives by “flipping the TwoSide book”.

Standing firm against AI
Coronation Books and Jenny Donovan are categorically against the current extractive practices of AI, given that there are no laws in place to safeguard the work of human art and artists. It is an integral part of our mission to oppose AI scraping and to hold firm the integrity and value of laboured, perfectly imperfect, human-made art. If artists cannot earn a living from their work, they will disappear. And their absence will be felt for generations to come. Please consider the value of real, HUMAN art.
